Prince Zolile Makaula Affirmed As Heir to Chieftainship of Makaula Traditional Council





The Mndende Commission on traditional leadership disputes visited Kwa Bhaca on 7 August 2025 for public hearings on leadership disputes of Makaula Traditional Council.
Following the conclusion of the commission established to enquire into and determine the rightful heir and holder of chieftainship of Makaula Traditional Council. The Commission has finalized its findings and outcome.
After due consideration of all submissions, evidence, customary law principles and applicable legal framework placed before it in the public hearing held on 7th August 2025, the Commission had found that Prince Zolile Bhekuhlanga Makaula is the rightful heir and lawful holder of chieftainship of Makaula Traditional Council.
The Commission findings have confirmed that the claim advanced by Prince Zolile Makaula is both lawful and factual having been substantiated through credible evidence and found to be consistent with established customary succession principles. The Commission has determined that his claim meets all legal and customary requirements. Accordingly Prince Zolile is affirmed as legitimate and rightful holder of Chieftainship of Makaula Traditional Council.
