The U13 Kokstad Build It Festival 2026 brought together eight local primary schools for an exciting day of soccer and netball, celebrating young talent, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The participating schools were Valiphathwa Primary, Rivermead Primary, 7 Fountains Primary, Xoloxolo Primary, Nomzamo Primary, Nonkqubela Primary, Kokstad Primary and Kokstad Public Primary School.
The U13 Kokstad Build It Festival 2026 was a wonderful celebration of young sporting talent, teamwork and community spirit, bringing together eight primary schools for an exciting day of soccer and netball. The festival provided an opportunity for young boys and girls to showcase their sporting abilities while building friendships, learning the value of teamwork and enjoying healthy competition.
Soccer Champions
In the soccer competition, Xoloxolo Primary School emerged as the No. 1 school, delivering an impressive performance throughout the festival. Their commitment, teamwork and determination saw them claim the top position. Valiphathwa Primary School finished in second place, also putting in a strong performance and demonstrating the talent and potential of their young players. The soccer competition was filled with excitement as the young players competed with enthusiasm, discipline and sportsmanship.
Netball Champions
In the netball competition, Kokstad Public Primary School took the No. 1 position, earning the top spot after an excellent display of teamwork and skill. 7 Fountains Primary School secured second place, showing great determination and ability throughout the competition. The netball matches were equally exciting, with the young players demonstrating excellent passing, movement, teamwork and competitive spirit.
More Than Just Sport
The Kokstad Build It Festival was about more than winning trophies. It was an opportunity to encourage children to participate in sport, develop confidence, make new friends and learn important life lessons such as discipline, respect, teamwork and perseverance.
The participation of eight schools made the festival a truly community-focused event, bringing together learners, teachers, coaches, parents and supporters in celebration of youth sport.
A special congratulations goes to Xoloxolo Primary School, the soccer champions, and Kokstad Public Primary School, the netball champions. Congratulations also to Valiphathwa Primary School and 7 Fountains Primary School for finishing as runners-up in their respective codes.
