UNICEF Cleaning Drive

Local student, Cathleen organised a volunteering opportunity for the youth of Kokstad on behalf of the UNICEF UCT society. The ‘Clean December Challenge’, a youth-led illegal dumping mapping and clean-up campaign in communities across South Africa, took place at the park at Jim Payne Drive on 17 December 2025.
This was a great initiative for the youth to contribute to the well-being of the local community and to place on their CV under volunteering experiences! A big thank you to everyone who participated. Volunteers were further encouraged to dress in black and purple in honour of the 16 days of activism against GBV.
