Rural based running club XJ Athletic Club with its headquarters in eMaxesibeni can’t wait to host the XJ 10 3rd edition on the 2026/10/11. The race is divided into two 5 KM & 10 KM.
XJ AC Is expecting throngs of runners nationwide. Some have registered from as far as Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. This emanates from the fact that XJ AC is popular for attending races across the country and abroad.
Secretary General of this club, Mawande Mpiti said it is all systems go and that they are more than ready to host this prestigious event.
“We are looking forward to doing what we always do best, welcoming visitors with warm hands. We have forged relationship with numerous running clubs countrywide and they wait to support us.”
He also emphasised that they have five busses on the day where runners will choose according to their capabilities and resilience.
“They start with a 45 minutes bus for elite runners and last bus for 1H30 for those who are struggling to finish” Mpiti said.
For those who are willing to join, tickets are still available through web tickets and for those who didn’t meet the cutoff date for free t shirts, they will be available at the race for R200. We have very limited spaces available so we appeal to runners to purchase their tickets on time as the race is selling like hot cakes.
XJ Athletic Club is a force to be reckoned with in the athletic arenas it has produced quality runners who always emerge as podium finishers in most marathons. Recently at Ntenyga foundation marathon in Durban, we left indelible mark as our bus was the talk of the town due to the vibe it had. Even runners from other clubs also jumped in and enjoyed the euphoria of our runners.
