Pink Church to Remain Pink

Tempers flared and emotions ran high last week as the Kokstad Advertiser published an article claiming that the iconic Pink Church on the N2 outside of Kokstad, would be renovated and it’s well known colour changed.
Fear not dear readers as this was a mere April Fool’s joke and the legendary East Griqualand sight will remain pink. Owner, Max Bastard confirmed that the building is currently undergoing renovations in an effort to re-purpose the building as a farm stall and said that the main enquiry he received was about the colour. He assures the community that he has no intention of changing the colour and it will remain a beacon of homecoming for locals.
