Helping Hands NCW NPO launched NCW’s Got Talent in August 2024 as a youth talent development programme, and it has grown tremendously since its inception. Hundreds of children have registered and auditioned to be part of the annual talent show. Through the programme, participants receive training and workshops to develop and refine their talents. Many have also been recognised by event organisers and invited to perform at modelling shows, political events, church functions, and major events hosted in Kokstad by local promoters.
In addition to providing a valuable platform for exposure, the programme gives contestants the opportunity to compete for cash prizes secured through sponsorship.
This year marks the much-anticipated Season 2 Grand Finale, the second major showcase for NCW’s Got Talent. Twelve exceptionally talented acts, selected from competitive auditions, will take to the stage to compete for top prizes of R3 000 (ages 7–13) and R5 000 (ages 14 and above).
Auditions for Season 2 were held on 21 February 2026 at Mama Africa, where 15 acts competed for a place in the finale, with only 12 advancing. The Grand Finale will take place on 25 April 2026 at Kokstad Primary School (2 Millstream Road, Eastview), kicking off with a vibrant family day from 9:00 AM. The event promises to be a spectacular celebration of youth talent and community spirit.
Adding to the excitement, contestants will share the stage with renowned R&B artist Verd Eaton, who, through his ministry Truth Church, has partnered with Helping Hands NCW. The event will also feature performances by Chuckie031, Sir Linho, and surprise special guests.
The programme will be hosted by the legendary Ryan Smith, while a distinguished judging panel includes SAMA Award-winning artist Kimosabe, live performer and dancer Thorn Fenner, and businesswoman Shanel Nayager.
Beyond the talent showcase, attendees can enjoy a full family fun day featuring a 5-a-side soccer tournament, a kiddies’ corner, as well as a variety of food and craft stalls.
The event has already attracted strong community support, with sponsors such as Buffalo Security (providing event security), Pick ’n Pay Kokstad, Rest Assured Guesthouse, Truth Church, and Squad 6ix on board.
