Former Kokstad resident and young Mount Ayliff businessman, Mtheleli Siyamthanda Quvane was laid to rest at his ancestral home of Sugarbush location in Mount Ayliff on 12 April 2026.
The young businessman who operated a liquor outlet in Sugarbush was born on 23 August 1982 to late Mr Caluza Quvane and his mother Florence Quvane born Msebe. Mr Mtheleli Quvane received his primary education at Dutyini primary school and also at Luxwesa primary school. He did his secondary education at Mount Ayliff High School and completed Grade 12 at College of Commerce in Mthatha. He completed his tertiary education at Esayidi TVET College Kokstad campus majoring in Business Management.
He established himself in the business environment and employed a few individuals in the community to assist in his business. He married Miss Mantoro and were blessed with children. Mr Mthunzi Quvane a former official of Department of Commerce, Industry and Tourism said the Quvane family lost a visionary, hardworking person who not only assisted his family but also the community at large. The Youth of Sugarbush said they have lost a mentor in Mr Quvane. The funeral was graced by the presence of members of South African Police Service in Kokstad led by Captain Mdutyana in their private capacity and also Kokstad farmer Mr Loyiso Pepeta. Rest in Peace Bhuku Sinqasha, Nkamangane.
