Helping Hands NCW NPO once again honoured the legacy of the late Pastor Benjie Fortein through its annual Fortein Drive, held between January and March this year. The initiative, which has become a meaningful tradition, focuses on giving back to local schools and supporting community development.
This year’s drive positively impacted several institutions. Kokstad Primary School received much-needed paint to improve its facilities, while Mt Currie Senior Secondary School was provided with plants and trees to enhance its environment. Kokstad College Hostel benefited from the donation of garden tools, and St Theresa Pre-school received a food voucher to support its learners. In Franklin, Huntley School was gifted school shoes for its students.
