On Thursday, 10 September, KJS Grade 7 learners took part in an exciting and successful Market Day held in the KJS Hall. The event gave learners the opportunity to put their business knowledge into practice while enjoying a fun and energetic day.
All the learners participated enthusiastically by planning, preparing and selling their products and services. The hall was filled with colourful stalls and eager customers as learners demonstrated their creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills.
Market Day taught the learners valuable business skills, including budgeting, pricing, marketing, communication and working with customers. It also encouraged them to take responsibility, solve problems and work together as a team.
The event was supervised by Mrs K. van der Merwe, the EMS teacher, who guided the learners throughout the project and helped ensure that the day ran smoothly.
The Market Day forms part of a broader EMS project and contributes towards the learners’ term mark. It was a wonderful opportunity for learners to experience what it is like to run a small business while applying what they have learned in class.
Overall, the Grade 7 Market Day was a great success. The enthusiasm, creativity and hard work of the learners made the day enjoyable and educational for everyone involved.
